The Twitter Bot @ictruck will aggregate geotagged tweets containing the hashtag #ictruck (ice cream truck/I see truck). All you have to do is tweet the hashtag with the geotagged location of the truck you find! The easiest way to do this is to use the mobile phone app Echofon- it automatically embeds the geotagged information into your tweet for you. Your geotagged tweet will then be retweeted by @ictruck and will show up on the map on this site for others to find!
If you want to find the closest ice cream truck to you before heading out into the wild jungle of NYC, just check this website or @ictruck on Twitter to find out where people are reporting ice cream trucks they find that day. The map will automatically set itself to the most recent tweet when you first visit the site, so this will most likely be your best chance at finding a truck before it disappears!
